stature has nothing to do with it whatsoever. im also 5 foot 4 with a small frame and went into labor 2 days after my due date and give birth the next day. her situation is unique, as is every pregnant woman’s labor and delivery. yours will be too.

I am 5′1 about 120lbs.
Due date is in 8 days.
Currently 2cms dilated.
I feel my baby will arrive on time, I wouldn’t mind if she were to be late since I want the possibility of her arriving on her father’s birthday.
This would be my second pregnancy, first pregnancy my child came only 1 week early.

Petite Sizes
My mom and I are the same.My mom is 5 foot but when she was pregnant she went passed her due dates 3 times out of 4.With my I’m 5′4 and I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I haven’t gone into labor yet.My friend is really tiny and she didn’t go into labor early she went passed her due date as well.I don’t think it has an effect on delivering early.

I am 5′4 and I gave birth early(5weeks) I have never heard of your height or build to be a factor as to how long your pregnancy will be. I also had preterm labor from 5 months on so that was believed to be why I delivered early. You should express these concerns to your doctor though. He or she may help to ease your mind. Good Luck!

no, height or stature has nothing to do with weather or not you’ll go into preterm labor.

all depends on the body im 5′7” and large boned and went in to labor a month early… so its not something to say yes or no to… also if this is your first it is more likely that you will… second and so on usually hold in longer.. like now im 37 wks still going..

you should consult your doctor and if he suggests you can otherwise there is nothing to worry as height under 4′10” are under risk .your sister in law might have other problem so she went to labor a month early .it is better to have baby after completing full term

You are not petite. Petite is 5 foot 3 or under, and has nothing to do with your body size. I’m petite, I am 5 foot 3 but have a large plus sized body. They do make plus sized petite clothes. Back to the question, I don’t think your height and body size have anything to do with when you go into labor.

no that doesnt matter….everybodys body is different though….the time will come when your ready to give birth…..as long as everything is fine with you and the baby nothing should happen…..i am also very petite but am a week lpast my due date…you can go 2 weeks early or 2 weeks late and its still okay….but im 40 weeks and 7 days late….and because of how small i am they wont let me wait 2 weeks after my duedate soo im getting induced….but they only will induce if they think the baby is getting to big,,something is wrong..but im not diliating yet so see everybodys pregnancy works out differently!!
