I’m 5′2 126 lbs, I’m looking to buy some clothes from Victoria’s secret should I buy from their petite section? For instance a tailored shirt….I have just never shopped in petite before.

Yeah you should, because from 5′3” and under is considered petite. Even as little as it seems, a tailored shirt from the regular section or petite section can make a big difference.

Look at the measurements of the shirt and then measure that area on your body. You may not want to buy a petite top if you have a long torsoe and short legs. By measuring, you will be able to know for sure. If you don’t have measuring tape, you can even use string and then measure the string using a ruler.

I am 5′3 and I shop in the petite for most of my pants. I have found that some of the petite tops are too narrow in the sholders for me. So it really depends on how you are built.

I’m 5′5″, and often buy petite tops. It usually depends on how long your torso and legs are. I have a shorter torso and longer legs, so I buy petite tops but could never buy petite pants. I usually have to buy “long” pants. If you have a long torso and short legs then it would be opposite–petite pants and regular tops. I would say that over all, petite sizes do not differ much from regular sizes. Hope this helps!
