There are some great petite designer jeans! If you can afford them, you can either go to Nordstrom, Macy's, bloomingdales, ect to get the Joe's denim, seven for all mankind, citizens of humanity jeans in petite length. If you are more on a budget, you can go to Nordstrom rack or Marshalls and be able to find some regular length designer jeans that you can get tailored and shortened. Designer jeans usually run smaller, so it may help you out, or even skinny jeans!

It sucks, doesn't it?

I'm 5'3" and I have shorter legs than friends that are my height (I guess my torso is a little longer than theirs). Anyway, jeans that are "petite" or "short" are generally still a little too long. I **** that.

i am also 5'1 but i am 99lbs. i know how you feel about a lot of stores not having petite pants. if you go to delia's they have a long of jeans that come in 26'' inseam. i'm actually a 28'' there. but they come in a variety of washes, and widths. they fit me perfectly! but it might take a while to find which one that fits you. they come in petite, short, regular, and long. also american eagle might fit you... or it could be a little too long. but definitely try delia's...they have skinny's, flares, and straight leg jeans.

My wife has the same problem. First I think the typical American woman is big (not fat or anything like that) just big. The second there is no truth in women's sizes. Women want the lie that they are a smaller size, so it makes it difficult for smaller women to find clothes. I would agree it is tough to keep up with the latest trends without having to go to kids stores.
