It is just me or do clothing companies seem to assume that if you are PETITE or PLUS SIZE that you bad taste?
youfreeezemaiheart asked:
I’m a petite girl and I actually avoid the petite sections of stores most of the times because the clothing is so hideous!
I have noticed that for plus size girls (and have been told as well) that they go through the same thing where their clothing tends to be really plain and dull.
This is so unfair and it shouldn’t be expected that you have your clothing tailored or detailed or whatever just to make it look and fit decently and it should not be expected that you have to spend a fortune to get that from the start.
I know that Hollister and what not have clothing for petite girls, but I’m not into that style. Nothing against it, but it just isn’t for me.
Well, anyways…Who else knows what I’m talking about?
I mean, just because you are smaller or bigger than the average person doesn’t mean that you have no taste!

Yes, it’s really annoying. With jeans it’s annoying (i’m always in jeans). I see loads i like, but they don’t fit good and have to get them altered:(

It has nothing to do with taste.
For anything sold, if what you seek is outside of the range of average customers, you will find fewer choices available.

Petite Sizes
I know how you feel. I wear an XL in shirts and a 16 in pants which pretty much means I’m plus size even though I don’t feel like it. On top of that I’m only 5′3. A lot of stores I like don’t even offer clothes in my size. I’m 16, I don’t want to dress like I’m 46. It seems like all they ever have on sale for us is babydoll tops that make me look pregnant and wide leg jeans. It’s annoying but I deal with it. The ironic part is that the average American woman is my size, not a size 2.

Petite Sizes
i so agree w/ you! i’m petite, too and the clothes never look as cute as the ‘normal-sized’ sections, or they just don’t fit right…
i have to go through so many stores just to find a pair of jeans or a top, and i’m (really) slowly building up my closet ;(
