With Thanksgiving coming up, does this sound like a good way to portion what I eat?
Heather S asked:
I am fairly petite-my ring size is a 4.5. When I go to buffets, I usually get a few things but I don’t like the portions to be any bigger than my fist. And since there is always so much good food, I don’t want to pass up on any of it as long as I don’t get stuffed. (Or feel disgustlingly full and bloated) Does that sound like a good way to size a portion?

Keep in mind that our stomachs are the size of a fist.
But you want to shrink your stomach, not stretch it.
You can have all the salad and vegetables you want and then drink lots of water.

No, for the things you see and don’t know what it is, teaspoon size. For those you know Tablespoon size (not heaping!). Then after you have tried everything and still have room. You get a 1/4 cup of what is your absolute favorite. Fist size is for meats (1).
