Can you have a lace wedding dress altered?

I am buying a dress that has satin on the inside with an overlay of lace for my wedding. I am a very petite girl, size 0, and want the dress to fit like a glove, can lace be taken in to fit tight?

    Yes it can but it gets very very expensive! I’m very petite and mine was $500 to alter because the beads had to be removed to alter the lace.

    Yes. Mine is lace and I had it taken out 1.5 inches. It was only $40, you can’t visually tell it was altered, and now it fits perfectly.
    Go to a local Chinese woman that specializes in alterations and has been in business for years.
