What are the best brands of designer jeans for people with a REALLY short torso/no ****?

Monday, September 7th, 2009
mwhornad asked:

I have an extremely short torso, so jeans (and pants in general) come up wayyy to high on my waist, giving me the mom look, which I ****. I can never wear shirts tucked into my pants for the same reason - I just look stumpy, even though I am very small and wear a size 0 petite. What designers of jeans/pants work best for someone with my shape and proportions? I also have no butt, so it needs to be pretty snug in the rear.

Kaiser Chief Fans in Ticket Drama

Monday, September 7th, 2009
Krissy Haze asked:

et ticket agency has gone bust, leaving many Kaiser Chief fans without tickets to this Saturday’s homecoming concert at Leeds United’s Ellend Road ground.

A crowd of 35,000 people are expected to come to Leeds this weekend to watch the band who have had a number of top-ten hits, including I predict a Riot and Ruby. However, thanks to this ticket scandal, a number of fans that have paid for their gig tickets online will not receive them.

The ticket firm that has gone out of business is the London Ticket Shop. The company put tickets to the Kaiser Chiefs gig on sale via the internet last year. However, the concert’s promoters, Manchester-based SJM Concerts, believe that the company may have been trading fraudulently. A spokesperson for the company said: “We don’t sell tickets to them or any other secondary agent so we have no idea how many they had – our guess is they possibly had none and were trading fraudulently.”

Samantha Greenwood from Leeds paid £35 each for the tickets, as well as an extortionate £19 booking fee. She bought the tickets in early December in order to celebrate her 40th birthday. However, thanks to the London Ticket Shop, she probably won’t be able to attend the gig.

Samantha explains that she bought the tickets online a few months ago, she said: “I did it on the internet. We bought them on December 5. I was 40 in April and it was part of my 40th birthday celebrations. There will be young kids who have saved up for this. It is not fair.” Samantha told reporters that she is “devastated” about the ticket problems. She said: “I am absolutely devastated to find out just a week before. My friend is 46 and she has never been to a pop concert in her life and was really looking forward to it. I don’t know how many other people are affected by it.”

The London Ticket Shop, which is registered in London and Hungary, is not contactable. An insolvency petition was filed in the High Court of Justice in London on 1st February 2008 and the firm was wound up on 19th March. Although the official receiver has now been called in, they have told upset fans that it is unlikely they will receive their tickets or their money back.
